Generation refers to the age version of the processor. The newer generation of laptops is more developed, has more features, and is more power-efficient than the older ones.
It shows what type of processor has been used to the laptop.
Intel has processor types like Intel Celeron, Intel Pentium, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, Core i9, etc whereas AMD has Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5, Ryzen 7, Ryzen 9, etc and Apple has Apple M1, Apple M2.
It is an integrated circuit that takes care of the communication between the CPU, RAM, storage, and other peripherals. The chipset is basically the electronics on the motherboard that communicate with all the connected components.
RAM stands for random-access memory, RAM is essentially short-term memory where data is stored as the processor needs it.
There are 2 types of graphics memory available to the laptop.
1. Shared 2. Dedicated
Shared graphics memory refers to a design where the graphics chip does not have its own dedicated memory and instead shares the main system RAM with the CPU and other components.
A dedicated graphics card is an entirely separate processor from the CPU and has its own dedicated memory.
