Burst Shooting

What is Burst Shooting?

Burst shooting, also known as continuous shooting or burst mode, is a feature found on many digital cameras and smartphones that allows the user to capture a series of photos in rapid succession with a single press of the shutter button.

This is achieved by taking advantage of the camera's high-speed image sensor and processing capabilities. Burst shooting is useful in situations where the subject is moving quickly, such as in sports or wildlife photography. By taking a series of shots in rapid succession, the photographer can increase the likelihood of capturing the perfect moment. It can also be useful for capturing a sequence of events, such as a person jumping or a bird taking flight. The number of photos that can be captured in burst mode and the speed at which they are captured depends on the camera's specifications. Some cameras can capture dozens of images in a single burst at a rate of several frames per second, while others may only be able to capture a few frames at a slower rate. After capturing a burst of photos, the user can review them and select the best ones to keep. Some cameras also have features that allow the user to automatically select the best photo from a burst, based on factors such as focus and exposure.
