Cross Cut

What is Cross Cut?

Cross-cut refers to a specific type of shredding technique used by paper shredders to destroy paper documents and other sensitive materials.

Cross-cut shredders use two blades that shred paper in two directions, creating small, confetti-like pieces. Cross-cut shredders provide a higher level of security than strip-cut shredders, which only cut paper into long, thin strips. The small size of the shredded pieces makes it much more difficult for someone to reconstruct the original document or extract sensitive information. Cross-cut shredders are available in different sizes and capacities for both personal and business use. Some cross-cut shredders can also shred other materials such as credit cards, CDs, and DVDs. When choosing a cross-cut shredder, it's important to consider the level of security needed, the volume of paper to be shredded, and the noise level of the machine. Proper maintenance and disposal of the shredded materials are also important for ensuring the security of sensitive information.
