CrossFire

What is CrossFire?

CrossFire is a technology developed by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) that allows multiple graphics processing units (GPUs) to work together to improve graphics performance.

CrossFire enables two or more graphics cards to be connected together to work in tandem and increase the overall graphics processing power of a system. To use CrossFire, a motherboard must support it and have two or more PCIe slots for the graphics cards. The graphics cards used in CrossFire must also be compatible with each other, typically belonging to the same product family. When multiple GPUs are combined using CrossFire, the graphics workload is divided between them, resulting in faster and smoother graphics rendering. This technology is mainly used for gaming and other high-performance applications that require intensive graphics processing.
