DADF

What is DADF?

DADF stands for "dual automatic document feeder," and is a type of document feeder commonly found on high-end photocopiers and multifunction printers.

A DADF consists of two document feeders: one for single-sided documents and one for double-sided documents. The single-sided feeder works in a similar way to a simplex feeder, feeding pages through one at a time and scanning or copying them on one side only. The double-sided feeder, on the other hand, can scan or copy both sides of a document in a single pass. The dual feeders can be particularly useful in office settings where a variety of documents need to be scanned or copied, some of which are single-sided and some of which are double-sided. The DADF can handle both types of documents without the need for manual intervention, saving time and improving efficiency. Overall, a DADF is a high-end feature found on some photocopiers and multifunction printers that can be a valuable tool for anyone who needs to process large numbers of documents quickly and efficiently, including both single-sided and double-sided documents.
