What is Lens Mount?

A lens mount is a standardized interface used to attach a camera lens to a camera body.

The lens mount typically includes a series of mechanical and electrical connections that allow the lens and camera to communicate and work together effectively. Different camera manufacturers may use different types of lens mounts, which are generally not interchangeable without the use of adapters or modifications. Some popular lens mounts include the Canon EF mount, Nikon F mount, and Sony E mount.
