Nickel Plated

What is Nickel Plated?

Nickel plating is a process of coating a layer of nickel on top of a metal or other substrate.

This is typically done to improve the durability and resistance to wear and corrosion of the underlying material. During the nickel plating process, the substrate is cleaned and prepared, and then immersed in a solution containing nickel ions. An electrical current is passed through the solution, causing the nickel ions to bond to the surface of the substrate. This creates a thin layer of nickel on top of the substrate. Nickel plating is commonly used in a variety of applications, including in the automotive and aerospace industries, where it is used to protect parts from corrosion and wear. It is also used in the production of electronic components, where it can provide improved conductivity and resistance to oxidation. Overall, nickel plating is a widely-used process for improving the durability and performance of a variety of materials and components
