SLI

What is SLI?

SLI (Scalable Link Interface) is a technology developed by Nvidia for connecting multiple graphics processing units (GPUs) together to improve graphical performance.

A motherboard that supports SLI technology typically has multiple PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) slots that can accommodate multiple Nvidia graphics cards. With SLI technology, multiple graphics cards can be connected in parallel to work together and share the graphical processing workload, resulting in significantly improved graphics performance in supported applications and games. However, not all applications and games are optimized to take advantage of SLI technology, so it may not always result in a significant performance boost. It's worth noting that SLI technology is specific to Nvidia graphics cards, and AMD offers a similar technology called CrossFireX. Additionally, newer graphics cards now utilize Nvidia's NVLink technology for multi-GPU setups instead of SLI.
