Tabletop Mode

What is Tabletop Mode?

Tabletop mode is a feature of the Nintendo Switch console that allows it to be played on a flat surface like a table or desk, without the need for a TV or traditional gaming setup.

In Tabletop mode, the Switch console is placed on a flat surface using its built-in kickstand, and the Joy-Con controllers can be detached and used wirelessly to play games. Tabletop mode is particularly useful for on-the-go gaming, as it allows players to easily set up and play games in various locations without needing a TV or dedicated gaming setup. It's also useful for local multiplayer games, as multiple players can gather around the console to play together on a shared screen. In addition to the built-in kickstand, there are also various accessories available for the Nintendo Switch that enhance the Tabletop mode experience. For example, there are charging docks that allow the Switch to be charged while in Tabletop mode, as well as stands that provide additional stability and adjustability for the console. Overall, Tabletop mode is a convenient and versatile feature of the Nintendo Switch console, allowing for on-the-go gaming and local multiplayer experiences in a variety of settings.
