Video Bit Rate

What is Video Bit Rate?

Video bit rate is the amount of data that is processed and transmitted per unit of time for a video stream.

It is measured in bits per second (bps) and determines the video quality, with higher bit rates leading to better quality videos but requiring more bandwidth and storage space. The video bit rate depends on several factors including the resolution, frame rate, and compression method used. Higher resolution, frame rate and less compression require higher bit rates to maintain the same video quality. Video bit rate can be adjusted to balance between video quality and bandwidth/storage requirements.
