What is EPEAT Level?

The EPEAT (Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool) is a rating system for electronic devices, including printers, that measures their environmental impact.

EPEAT evaluates products based on their energy efficiency, use of hazardous materials, recyclability, and other factors. The EPEAT rating system has three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. A printer with a higher EPEAT level generally has a lower environmental impact and is more sustainable than one with a lower level. Gold is the highest level of EPEAT certification, indicating that a product has met the most stringent environmental standards. When purchasing a printer, consumers can use the EPEAT rating system to compare different models and choose one that meets their sustainability goals. Some organizations, particularly in the public sector, require that electronic devices meet certain EPEAT criteria in order to be eligible for purchase or procurement.
