Storage Humidity

What is Storage Humidity?

Storage humidity refers to the amount of moisture in the air surrounding a power supply when it is not in use.

High levels of humidity can lead to corrosion and damage of the power supply's components, which can result in decreased performance or even failure when the device is used again. It is generally recommended to store power supplies in a dry and cool environment with a humidity level between 10% and 80%. Excessive humidity levels above this range can cause condensation to form on the power supply's components, leading to rust and other forms of damage. To protect power supplies from moisture damage during storage, it's a good idea to use a sealed container or anti-static bag and to place desiccant packets inside to absorb any excess moisture. This can help to ensure that the power supply remains in good condition and performs as expected when it is needed.
