UASP

What is UASP?

UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) is a communication protocol used in external storage enclosures that connects to a computer via USB.

It allows for faster data transfer rates and improved performance compared to the traditional USB Mass Storage Protocol (MSD). UASP reduces the amount of processing overhead required by the host computer, allowing for higher data transfer speeds, lower latency, and improved I/O performance. UASP is supported by newer operating systems, such as Windows 8 and above, and newer USB host controllers.
