Single-Band

What is Single-Band?

Single-band refers to a wireless device or network that operates on only one frequency band, typically either 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. This means that the device or network can only use one channel to communicate with other devices.

Single-band devices are typically less expensive than dual-band devices, but they may be more prone to interference from other devices operating on the same frequency. Single-band networks are also generally slower than dual-band networks, as they are limited to one frequency and cannot take advantage of the increased bandwidth offered by multiple frequencies. However, single-band devices and networks can still be useful for basic internet browsing and simple tasks.
