Megapixels

What is Megapixels?

Megapixels is a term used to describe the resolution of a digital camera or image sensor.

It refers to the number of pixels that make up an image, with one megapixel equal to one million pixels. A camera with a higher megapixel count is capable of capturing more detail and producing higher-quality images, as there are more pixels available to create the image. However, a higher megapixel count does not always equate to better image quality, as factors such as the quality of the lens and image processing software can also play a role. The optimal megapixel count for a given camera will depend on factors such as the intended use of the images, the size of the printed output, and personal preferences.
