Interface

What is Interface?

An interface refers to the means by which different devices or components of a computer system communicate with one another.

It can be thought of as a standard protocol or set of rules that enables devices to exchange information and instructions. Interfaces can take many different forms, depending on the type of device or component involved. For example, USB and HDMI are common interfaces used for connecting external devices to a computer, while PCIe is an interface used for connecting expansion cards such as graphics cards and network adapters. Interfaces can also refer to software interfaces, such as APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), which allow different software applications to communicate with each other. These interfaces define the inputs, outputs, and functions that are available for use by other software applications. In general, interfaces are critical for enabling different devices and components to work together effectively, and they are a key consideration when designing and building computer systems or software applications.
