What is Viewfinder?

A viewfinder is a device used to frame and compose photographs or videos in a camera.

It provides a small window through which the photographer can see the scene being photographed and adjust the framing and focus as needed. There are two main types of viewfinders: optical viewfinders and electronic viewfinders. Optical viewfinders use mirrors and prisms to reflect the image from the lens onto a small window, allowing the photographer to see the image directly. Electronic viewfinders, on the other hand, use a small LCD screen to display a digital image of the scene being photographed. Some cameras may also offer a rear LCD screen that can be used as a viewfinder. Viewfinders are essential for composing and framing shots accurately, and can also be helpful in bright light or outdoor conditions where the glare on the LCD screen can make it difficult to see.
